Ronald Koeman has admitted that he might lose his talisman, Sadio Mane in January as Manchester United continue to be linked with the Senegalese forward.
Sadio Mane went on to stay at Southampton but Manchester United have not eased up on their interest in the forward. The 23 year old has gone on to produce more impressive performances for Southampton this season just as he did last season and that has only increased his price tag but it has not deterred Manchester United from their bid to sign the Senegal international and Ronald Koeman has told the press that Mane might leave the club in January. ‘Maybe one day we will lose Mane but then we have to be prepared,’ said Koeman. ‘You know in our situation that kind of player, if they play like today (against Chelsea), there will come a lot of interest in the end of the season, but now we enjoy watching Mane in our team.’
Southampton have developed a reputation of letting some of their best players go in almost every transfer window from the departure of Lallana and Shaw in 2014 to Clyne and Schneiderlin leaving in 2015, Southampton have however not struggled to replace those players and that, is very impressive.
