Lewis Hamilton wins Russian GP
Lewis Hamilton continued his solid march to a 3rd World Championship title with an easy win at the Russian Grand Prix.
Hamilton’s Mercedes teammate, Nico Rosberg was in the lead before issues with his throttle forced him to retire early.
Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel came second in the race, leapfrogging Rosberg in the title table.
Hamilton will secure the title for the year if he can finish with nine more points than Vettel at the US Grand Prix which holds on the 25th of October in Austin, Texas.
“I don’t know. It has made it more difficult of course. But I am never going to win it anyway with such normal things like that breaking,” Rosberg said on his title chances, which became very dim after Saturday’s race.
“But of course I will keep pushing and keep attacking.”
