Some months ago, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry announced that it will be holding the prestigious Lagos International Trade Fair in three different venues, with each venue catering to different industry sectors.
At a press parley, the Vice President of LCCI, Chief (Dr.) Michael Olawale-Cole revealed that the Creative Industry Fair subpart of the International Trade Fair will be all about entertainment and culture. It will feature exhibitions, performances from A-List artists, and business sessions of the entire value chain of the Nigerian creative industry. It will be hosted by LCCI, the CORA (Committee of Relevant Arts), and Freedom Park.
Freedom Park, Broad Street, Lagos is the venue for the Lagos Creative Fair, and it happens to be a few minutes walk from the main trade fair ground at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos. While the acts for the week long event have not been confirmed yet, Brymo and 2Face who are ambassadors for the chambers are expected to make headlining appearances.
The event is set to be groundbreaking as stakeholders in the Nigerian Creative Industry have been brought to the table in organizing the event. Some notable names are the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Movie Producers Association of Nigeria, Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN), etc.
