INEC: 13, 052 Ad Hoc Staff Recruited Ahead Of Kogi Gov Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has announced that it has recruited 13,052 ad-hoc officials for the governorship election holding in Kogi State on November 21.

Speaking on Monday in Lokoja at a forum by INEC for the civil society organisations, youth groups and People Living with Disabilities (PLWD), INEC Secretary Mr. Mailafia Adison, said the workers included 12, 536 poll officials and 255 supervisory presiding officers.

He said others were 239 registration collation officers, 21 registration area collation officers and one state returning officer.

According to him, the officials were picked after screening, adding that their training would begin soon.

Adison, said additional 584 voting centres were created from the polling units with more than 1,000 registered voters.
