Boko Haram Detainees Relocated Out Of Anambra Prison

About 47 suspected Boko Haram fighters have been transferred out of the Ekwulobia prison in Aguata local government area of Anambra state.

Boko HaramThe prisoners were transferred on Tuesday, October 27, to a destination not known amidst tight security in the night.

According to a very reliable source, the detainees have relocated from the state to the delight of the people residing near the prison yard who have been scared since the news came in that the detainees have been brought there.

The source, who craved anonymity, disclosed that when the rumours went round the state the Boko Haram detainees were going to brought into Ekwulobia prison four months back, commercial activities were brought to a standstill in Anambra after angry youths protested against the rumoured plan then.

It will be recalled that there was tension in the state on June 29, following reports that the prisoners have been brought to the state by the Nigerian Prison Service.
