Bayern 5-1 Dortmund: Muller And Lewandowski Put Bayern Out Of Dortmund’s Reach

share on:

Lewandowski found the net twice for Bayern against his former club to continue his fine run and end Dortmund’s hopes of getting back to the top of the table.

Tuchel surprised us with the squad he named, dropping Reus and Ginter to the bench and Muller took advantage of sloppy play by Dortmund to score 26 minutes in.

And Mkhitaryan brought down Alcantara in the box to hand Muller a shot at making it 2-0 in the 35th minute. But Aubameyang handed the bumblebees a glitter of hope by scoring before the half time.

The second half had more horror in store for Dortmund, as former player, Lewandowski restored the two-goal cushion one minute in and lewandowski also put the final nail in the coffin when he scored in the 58th minute.

Gotze found the net in the Bundesliga for the first time since February, ending matters 5-1, with the same scoreline Bayern saw off Wolfsburg.

This will be Tuchel’s first loss at Dortmund.
