Everton looked down and out in their premier league clash with West Brom at the Hawthorns today and looked set for a defeat. But when the Merseyside blue needed their record signing to step up, Lukaku did so in phenomenal fashion, banging in a Brace for Martinez men.

The game didn’t really get going in the first half, Everton were slow and sloppy and West Ham just didn’t seem organized but as half time approached, West Brom took the lead, Berahino was played through by Morrison in the 41st minute and he made no mistake finishing past Howard to make it 1-0. Everton looked to respond quickly in the second half but West Brom looked deadly on the break and caught Everton on the 54th minute after a counter attack produced a corner kick. Craig Dawson rose highest to make it 2-0 and put Everton on more misery. Lukaku stepped up exactly one minute later, as Deulefeu whipped the ball into the box and the Belgian rose highest to meet it and make it 2-1. Arona Kone came off the bench and looked very exciting and in the 75th minute, the Ivorian leveled the game with an impressive strike after beating the offside trap. There was more drama as in the 84th minute, Lukaku latched on to a cross by Deulefu and despite a very poor first touch managed to prod the ball home to win the game for Everton.

Roberto Martinez would be hoping his side can keep this good run going as they look to challenge for a place in Europe next season.
