Wenger forgives Ospina: Manager says keeper not to blame for loss

In a press conference in February of 2014, Jose Mourinho referred to Arsene Wenger as a specialist in failure after the Arsenal manager stated that Mourinho was afraid of failing. This triggered another round of the war of words between both managers and until date, the battle has not seized. This stat however confirms that Mourinho may have been right and Arsene Wenger know more about failing than most after all.

Arsene Wenger would get another crack at Mourinho on Saturday when both teams clash in the premier league. The Frenchman won their last encounter, a 1-0 win in the community shield and would fancy his chances going into Saturday’s game with Chelsea’s recent Premier league form. The stat about Wenger’s champions league losses are however quite staggering and before any fan goes crazy, Marcelo Lippi, Carlo Ancelotti and Sir Alex Ferguson have managed more games in the UEFA Champions league than Arsene Wenger and have lost less.
