Tecno Phantom 5: Unboxing And First Impression

share on:

So I got my Tecno Phantom 5 a day after it was launched and couldn’t wait to see what it held in store for me.

First of all, I must say I like the packaging. Although it’s quite large, it has this really cool look as seen below:

I wasn’t sure though why Etisalat and Airtel stickers were put on the pack and their SIMS not included within. However, this does nothing to my initial experience with the device.

Tecno Telecom has come a long way, by providing not only affordable but quality phones to a growing customer base in the Nigerian market. It’s been a while since I used a Tecno device, hence my first impressions of the Phantom 5 is that a lot of work has been put into it.

So what you’ll find in the box are 1 Tecno Phantom 5, 1 USB adapter, 1 USB cable, 1 pair of earphones, 1 flip case cover, 1 SIM extractor, 1 customised micro SIM adapter, 1 warranty card,  and 1 user guide.

First Impression

For anyone looking to have a phone that spells class and easy functionality, then the Phantom 5 is the phone to have. I know people have a lot to say about the price which goes for N69, 900 but I can tell you straight-up that I feel it is worth the dime.

I have specifically fallen in love with the powerful and incredible surround sound output. I love music and love listening with my earphones, just to have my ears tune to every little detail in a song but this phone makes for great sound all on its own. Last night I put my baby to sleep, playing some gospel music.

And then there’s the whole fingerprint technology that is easy to work, giving you the opportunity to register up to five different fingerprints.

The feel of the phone in your hands and the smoothness of the capacitive touchscreen are incredible. Makes for stress-free handling.

I will give a full review soon but so far, I am impressed. It is worth the price. It’s premium and comes with all the features premium smartphones come with. Unconvinced? Check out the full specifications below:
