Sunderland manager, Dick Advocaat is reportedly set to step down as manager, again. This time, Sunderland won’t go back begging as sources claim the Black cats have lined up Arsenal legend, Patrick Viera as the next Sunderland manager.

Sunderland have taken only four points form a possible 21 this season and Advocaat might be on his way out by mutual consent. Sunderland have identified Viera who is currently the reserve team coach at Manchester City as the most likely replacement to Advocaat and could be looking to sign him if the Dutchman decides to step down.

Viera has been tipped for managerial greatness by former teammates and coaches alike most notably, Arsene Wenger, who himself is a great manager and Robert Pires who played with Viera both for Arsenal and for France
