Steven Naismith says he is happy to remain at Everton after being persuaded by manager Roberto Martinez to stay.
Naismith was the subject of intense transfer speculation on deadline day after an £8m bid by Norwich was rejected by the club.
Steven Naismith said in an interview
“I think that’s just football,” “It was definitely a challenging time last two weeks before (deadline day), when you’ve got a decision to make about playing regular football and I had a think about it, and it was something I definitely had to consider.
“The manager said he didn’t want me to go and wasn’t going to let me go. In the end, that takes the decision away out of your hands and you just deal with it.”
