According to reports in Spain, David De Gea is set to extend his Manchester United contract after months of speculations and transfer flirtations with Real Madrid.
David De Gea was set for a move away from Manchester United in the summer and was all but set to join Real Madrid in the summer until the deal fell through. Manchester United and Real Madrid were unable to complete negotiations when the transfer deadline day passed and David De Gea, probably against his wishes remained a Manchester United player. De Gea who has not featured for Manchester United this season started for Spain against Macedonia before returning to Manchester United and pledging his commitment to the club for at least this season. Now, according to El Confidential in Spain, David De Gea would soon be sealing a new deal with Manchester United as he looks to get back on Van Gaal’s good side while looking to get back into the first team.
David De Gea is well aware of the need to feature consistently for Manchester United if he is to make it to the EURO 2016 and he might just be playing at that with talk of a contract negotiation
