Well, you will not outdo Real Madrid, not even at being charitable, Real Madrid have pledged 1 million euros to support refugees fleeing Syria over the war in the Middle-Eastern country.

Real Madrid made the announcement on their website after a reported meeting between club president, Florentino Perez and the President of the Spanish government, Mariano Rajoy. Real Madrid have announced their commitment to helping Syrian refugees who have fled their homeland. ““Faithful to its commitment to charity, Real Madrid has taken this decision (to donate €1m) with the aim of supporting men, women and children who have been forced to leave their homes in order to flee from war and death.” Real Madrid and Portugal forward, Cristiano Ronaldo also tweeted in support of the immigrants as sports brands and sports stars across the world are rising up to support humanitarian activities.

This is coming after Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund pledged their support to refugees as well as a lot of other Bundesliga clubs

We hope Real Madrid have set the pace for other Spanish sides
