Louis Van Gaal admitted that Anthony Martial is quality (Duh, he wouldn’t have bought him for 38 million Euros if that weren’t the case) but the Dutchman also stated that the Frenchman has been lucky so far at Manchester United.
Speaking at the pre match conference ahead of Sunderland’s visit to Old Trafford, Van Gaal told reporters the Anthony Martial, who is being likened to Henry had enjoyed some luck so far with his goal scoring heroics. “It is a little bit of luck, but of course the main thing is his quality,” Van Gaal stated at a press conference. “As a player, Martial has to do it and he has to cope with the pressure. What we have seen until now, he can do it”. Van Gaal said he was looking forward to seeing more of Martial in coming months as he described the former Monaco forward as the best player in his age category for the second time in two weeks. Van Gaal however stated that he still considers Rooney to be his main striker despite his poor run of form in front of goal.
Manchester United play Sunderland Today and would be hoping that “Martial law” is declared on the black cats.
