Kondogbia believes that Inter coach Roberto Mancini will help him reach his maximum potential.
Kondogbia moved from Monaco to Inter fo deal worth €35 million in the summer, with the Frenchman snubbing Milan in the process.
He believes that former City boss will help him develop.
“I’m just starting to get to know Serie A, the coach and the team,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “But Inter was the best choice for me.
“I think this is the best place for me to grow and improve. Mancini can get the best out of players, I can tell. Mancini knows how to make me better.
“I’m honoured that he chose to sign me. He helps young players develop and improve and that was a big factor in me choosing Inter.”
The France international admits that he is not finding it easy to adapt to the Italian top flight and feels he is playing a different role than he was at Monaco.
“Serie A is a lot more tactical, there are a lot of teams who concentrate on defence, and that makes it harder to build your own play and find the space to score.” he said.
“I’m playing in a position that I know well. It’s different to my role at Monaco, but it allows me to improve the defensive side of my game.
“We’ve been solid in the two games so far, so we have to keep working.
“We’ve got a lot of new players, so the team needs time to gel so we’re all as one. We’ve started well, and I hope we can continue on this path.”
