England Under 21s and Manchester United Striker James Wilson is set to remain at Manchester United according to Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett.

Wilson 19, had been interesting a number of Sky Bet Championship clubs with United reportedly keen to loan him out after the summer deadline day capture of Anthony Martial for £36m

But Jackett has been told Wilson is now needed at Old Trafford, saying: “The information is he’s not available. They’re keeping him there for the time being.

“There’s been a number of clubs who have enquired about him and at one stage they’d been saying perhaps he could go. The timing of it is always something and if he was available would there be some interest from us? There has been in the past, yes.”
