The EPL table really looks odd right now, you can’t find the regular top four at the top, I don’t even know where to find them.
Only City happens to be impressing, with United and Chelsea both falling to shock losses and Arsenal scaling through thanks to an own goal.
Newcastle United 0-1 Arsenal
Bournemouth 1-1 Leicester
Aston Villa 2-2 Sunderland
Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace
Liverpool 0-3 West Ham
Manchester City 2-0 Watford
Stoke 0-1 West Brom
Tottenham 0-0 Everton
Southampton 3-0 Norwich
Swansea 2-1 Manchester United
Own Goal Gifts Arsenal Three Points
Let’s ignore the fact that Arsenal doesn’t have the brightest striker, they possess other players that could have given Newcastle a run for their money. Even after Newcastle were reduced to ten men from the 16th minute, Arsenal couldn’t break down the defence of the magpies. A Coloccini deflection handed them the goal they needed to salvage full points.
Mourinho’s Men Collapse At The Bridge
It was Mourinho’s 100th home game for Chelsea, with the manager just losing the once, you would think last season’s leaders will hold their own against Crystal Palace. The defence was nothing to write home about and Sako put his club ahead, Falcao’s first goal was the equaliser and Ward settled matters for Crystal Palace.
City Continue 100% Start
Of course Watford doesn’t have what it takes to stop the boys in light blue. And City proved they’re front runners for the title with yet another clean sheet. With golden boy, Sterling getting his first club goal and fernandinho joining him on the sheet.
United Lose To Swansea Again
This might as well be the highlight of the week. United have now lost their last three games to Swansea. Unbelievable. United were ahead thanks to Mata, but quick thinking from Gary Monk changed the game. With Ayew and Gomis completing a much deserved comeback for the Swans.
The league is on international break and will resume September 12.
