Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has warned new signing Kevin De Bruyne, to be more versatile if he’s to stay relevant.
The Belgium international joined City on a record deal and came off the bench in their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
With a lot of attacking talent at Pellegrini’s disposal, Kompany warns his compatriot, De Bruyne to strive to play in more than one position.
“We have so many players who can play centrally behind the striker,” he said.
“[Samir] Nasri is a great player, [David] Silva is a great player, [Raheem] Sterling, [Jesus] Navas.
“I think we have about five players in that position all equally strong, and then always it will be a little change. You will be left once, at right, behind the striker, I think that’s normal at this level.”
