It seems Allegri has found a replacement for Arturo Vidal in Hernanes, as he wants to field him as an attacking midfielder.
The summer window saw Vidal and Pirlo leave Juventus, which might have resulted in a weaker midfield, leading to two losses in the new campaign.
Allegri brought on Hernanes to remedy this and he believes the Brazilian midfielder can start behind the attackers.
“The Brazilian is ready,” Allegri told the Italian press ahead of the match against Chievo on Saturday.
“He has all the qualities to be the attacking midfielder.”
“He was born central in front of the defence, then made a central midfielder, and has the features to be the attacking midfielder,” Allegri continued.
