Following a successful loan spell last season, Alex Song has returned to West Ham for another season long loan as Barcelona can still not accommodate the Cameroonian.
West Ham had tried to sign Song permanently at the start of the summer but the bid failed and West Ham kept mum on the transfer. Slaven Billic had been hopeful to complete a few more signings before the end of the window and with first team options limited at Barcelona, Song decided to return to a familiar club in a familiar city and so he set his mind on West Ham in London, as the English capital remains the only city Alex Song has lived in in England. “I am very happy,” Alex Song told the club’s official website. “For me it was very important to come back because when I was here I had a great rapport with the fans and the Club. “ the 27 year old also told reporters that he couldn’t wait to be back in action after the international break

West Ham now retain the option to extend the loan deal for Alex song by a year and the West Ham club are most likely going to do so and probably do one better by finally signing the Cameroonian on fully
