Angel Di Maria would not be on the pitch for his new club, Paris Saint-Germian on Friday when they take on Montpellier as the Argentine has been left out of the side by manager, Laurent Blanc.
Laurent Blanc had initially told reporters that Di Maria could be in line to make his debut tomorrow against Montpellier but decided against including the Argentine who was in the stands when PSG beat Ajaccio a week ago after completing a 45 million euro move. Di Maria has been left out of the side because he is struggling with a hamstring injury which he came with from Old Trafford. Blanc and the player have been left frustrated by the club’s inability to show off their newest acquisition but Blanc is not going to risk sending the investment down the toilet by rushing the player back into action and would be willing to wait another week to hand him his debut. After all, he waited one whole season to buy him after he had opted to join Manchester United instead, when he was leaving Real Madrid.
PSG would also be without Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the 34 year old swede is out with a knee problem while Marco Veratti is also absent from the squad with a hip injury.
