Oliseh calls up 18 for Tanzania
Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has called up 18 foreign-based players ahead of next month’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania.
One of the major talking points is Oliseh’s decision to not to call up Chelsea duo Victor Moses and John Mikel Obi.
Skipper Vincent Enyeama is the cream of the already-capped players, including defenders Godfrey Oboabona, Leon Balogun and Kenneth Omeruo, midfielders Rabiu Ibrahim, Lukman Haruna and Joel Obi, and forwards Ahmed Musa, Emmanuel Emenike and Anthony Ujah.
A number of surprise names were also called up too, including goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, midfielder Izunna Ernest Uzochukwu and forwards Emem Eduok, Sylvester Igboun and Moses Simon.
They were called up in line with Oliseh’s pledge to make current form and first-level football markers in choosing hsi team.
