Manchester City’s pre-season did not end on a high as Stuttgart gave the Etihad side a lesson in German efficiency to pick up a 4-2 win at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Stuttgart.

It took Stuttgart just 15 minutes to take the lead as Kostic exploited the space between Kompany and Sagna in the Manchester City defense to run on to Ginczek’s flicked header before showing great composure to slot past Joe Hart to make it 1-0. Davidi picked up a through ball from Klein just inside the Manchester City area in the 31st minute and slotted past Joe hart to make it 2-0 to Stuttgart and 5ive minutes later it was 3-0 as Ginczek slotted in Harnik’s cross. One minute later, Ginczek got his second and Stuttgart’s fourth as Kompany completely mistimed the flight of the ball leaving the forward one on one with Joe Hart who he beat again. Manchester City upped their game in the second half and as the game winded to a close, Stuttgart became complacent and Iheanacho finished into an empty net after Silva’s cross left Tyton stranded. Dzeko made it 4-2 in the 89th minute as he slotted home Sterling’s cross.
