Starting With A Bang: Bayern Beat Hamburg 5-0 In Season Opener

Bayern Munich have gotten off to a flyer in the Bundesliga as Pep Guadiorla’s men humiliated Hamburger SV 5-0 at the Allianz Arena.

It took Bayern Munich 27 minutes to get going, but when Xabi Alonso floated in a free kick from the left and Mehdi Benatia nodded it into the net Bayern never looked back. Bayern failed to convert any other chance in the first half but domintated the game. 8 minutes into the second half, Lewandowski made it 2-0 Ostrzolek’s header fell to the Poland international who made no mistake from just inside the box. In the 69th minute, Muller ghosted in at the back post to nod home Douglas Costa’s cross to make it 3-0. 4 minutes later, Muller completed a double as he went round the Hamburg goalkeeper before scoring into an empty net. Douglas Costa completed the scoring as he riffled a shot into the net after cutting the ball onto his left foot at the edge of the area.

Bayern aould be looking to pick up a fourth straight Bundesliga trophy and look good for the trophy on their first performance
