Tottenham have confirmed that they’ve reached an agreement with Villarreal for striker Roberto Soldado, who spent just two years at the club.
The Spanish forward struggled to live up to his price tag of £26 million, scoring seven premier league goals in 52 appearances.
Soldado will be replaced by Clinton N’jie, with a deal close to conclusion. Tottenham are also looking at Hernandez and Berahino.
“We have reached agreement with La Liga side Villarreal for the transfer of Roberto Soldado,” the club Tweeted on Friday afternoon. “We wish Roberto all the best.”
