Babcock students protest fees hike
Students of Babcock University today took to Twitter to protest an increase in their school fees by the school’s administration.
The new payment regime sees an increment in prices in almost every category, causing a huge gross increase in total fees.
For example, 2 meals per day, which previously cost N94,300 now cost N113,160, with the 3-meal option rising from N141,450 to N169 ,740.
Hostel accommodation has also increased, with the N70,000, N100,000 and N150,000 rooms now N84,000, N120,000 and N180,000 respectively.

The school’s management hasn’t responded to the wave of criticism, and it is unlikely that they would.
One question though: Should a “Christian” university be this expensive? Share your thoughts.
