In a move that most football enthusiasts associate with Jose Mourinho, West Brom manager Tony Pulis has deflected the blame for his side’s 3-2 loss to 10 man Chelsea away from himself.
Pulis attempted to absorb himself of any guilt for his side’s inability to take advantage of the man advantage they had over Chelsea for thirty minutes by blaming his side’s result on the transfer window and not his tactical inabilities. West Brom rejected a bid for Saido Berahino from Tottenham yesterday and according to the West Brom manager, it had an adverse effect on the player and the club. “Everybody here should be talking about the game and this wouldn’t be an issue. Saido’s a great lad, it happens where it can be disruptive and it has been disruptive. I had a good chat with him yesterday [Saturday] he’s fine, there’s no problems but it’s the transfer window that causes the problems” Pulis told reporters after the game.
Sadio Berhino was not included in West Brom’s squad today and it seems Pulis is of the opinion that if he had the striker on the oitch he may have been able to salvage a point today
