Paris Saint-Germain continued their domination of the French Ligue 1 as Thiago Silva and Blaise Matuidi were on target for the French champions who picked up a 2-0 win at home over Gazelec Ajaccio
PSG never looked in any real danger as they easily eased into control of the game right after kick off. The club had paraded new signing, Angel Di Maria just before kick off and the euphoria of celebration and confidence was obvious in their play as the players moved the ball around with ease. PSG finally pulled ahead in the 11th minute when a poor clearance fell to Matuidi who powered past a defender before firing the ball into the net to make it 1-0. Ten minutes later, it was 20 as Thiago Silva was allowed a free header from a corner and the Brazilian captain made no mistake, powering the ball home. Paris Saint-Germain continued to control the game but were very wasteful when goalscoring opportunities presented themselves. In the second half, Laurent Blanc’s men slowed the game down but were always in charge.
PSG are on the hunt for a fourth straight Ligue 1 title as they also look to do better this season in the UEFA champions league.
