Project Fame 8.0: Judges Not Impressed With The Contestants

The night before the elimination night was an emotional one as the trio of Richie, Ruby, and Tejiri bade farewell to the academy after they were eliminated from the show.

The nomination night picked up from last night as the remaining eleven contestants knew they had to give their best if they intend to remain in the academy as they were ready to sing out their respective ‘Naija hits’ to the listening pleasure of everyone.

The show began with Biko performing Dare Art Alade’s ‘No Stars’, he was closely followed by Oluchi who delivered a good performance of ‘Jamb question’ by Simi. Kumi was next on stage as she sang ‘Eyo’ by Asa, while Pearl gave a good rendition of ‘Awww’ by Di’ja. When it appeared everyone was beginning to settle in on the nights groove, Arewa got the audience on their feet with her rendition of ‘Ojuelegba’ by Wizkid. The ever smiling Chike was up next with an exciting delivery of Iyanya’s ‘Mr Oreo’.

In continuation of the exciting and fun filled night, Ada stepped on stage to give an excellent delivery of Seyi Shay’s ‘Ragga Ragga’ and she was closely followed by Jeff, who performed Korede Bello’s monster hit ‘Godwin’. Deinde was up next as he took his time to entertain the audience with ‘Jaiye Ori mi’ by Banky W, while Joy ensured she gave an out of the world performance of ‘German Juice’ by Cynthia Morgan. Anderson drew the curtain on the nights performances with a rendition of Tuface Idibia’s ‘U no holy pass’.

After the contestants were done with their energetic and wonderful performances in hope that it would be enough to help them scale the hurdle of probation, the baton now laid with the judges to give their verdict regarding who goes on probation. The judges commended the efforts all the contestants put into the nights performances while taking time to acknowledge the excellent work the faculty was putting into the contestants. The judges however made it known that the aim of the competition was to bring out extraordinary artists and as such, they took a decision to put all of the remaining eleven contestants on probation in hopes that It would bring out the best in the contestants.
