The academy was activity filled as it commenced with Mummy J’s class who did a careful analysis of the performances of the contestants from nomination day 2. She encouraged all the contestants to speak up about their fears and the things that they found challenging during their performances and how they were able to overcome them. After the contestants had spoken, she went on to give them tips on how best they can go about surmounting the challenges that prevented them from being their best during performances.

From what all the contestants said about their experiences during performances, it was evident that almost all of them had the same challenge – stage fright.

While the contestants talked about their fears and challenges with Mummy J, those on probation- Chike, Tejiri, Richie, Deinde, Oluchi, and Ruby visited The Beat 99.9FM to solicit for votes from listeners in order to remain in the academy.

The five contestants were lucky enough to make it back in time to the Academy for Ms. Ige’s class. She commenced with voice training exercises. This was followed by song rehearsals in preparations for the weekend ahead. She encouraged the contestants to give their best and pay attention to details, if they hope to perform the songs as if they were the original writer or singer, saying that was the reason for doing a cover song.
