Spurs say no Lamela & Eriksen sales
Tottenham Hotspurs Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that attacking duo Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen are not for sale.
Both players are said to be attracting the intention of Serie A champions Juventus, but Pochettino has no plan of selling.
“He (Christian) is happy here,” Pochettino said.
“He has a contract and we keep the best players for the present and future and want to be a good squad for in the next few years to fight for the top four and win the Premier League one day.
“Erik is part of my plans, the team.”
“We need Lamela to show his real quality and we hope that this is the season he really shows his quality.”
Pochettino refused to comment on the club’s chase after West Brom’s Saido Berahino.
“It’s obvious we need to add some more in our offensive position. We have different targets but this is our target (to bring someone in).”
“We identify our targets and the chairman is working very hard to bring new players in this position but I am happy with my squad.”
“We played well the last two games in a good level and I am not worried about the future or our situation. Our situation is good.”
“We added (Lyon forward) Clinton N’Jie this week, an offensive player, and I’m happy with my squad.”
