Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos is set to seal a new deal with Real Madrid which will see him remain with the 10 time European champions until 2020
Sergio Ramos was reportedly set to leave the club after initial talks with the club had hit the rocks and Manchester United looking to steal the Defender from the Spanish capital. Sergio Ramos finally agreed a deal with Real Madrid and according to the club’s website, Ramos would seal the deal today in an elaborate ceremony which would be presided over by the president of the club. “An event will be held in the Santiago Bernabeu’s presidential box to mark Sergio Ramos’ contract renewal,” a statement at the club’s official website reads.
“Presiding over the event will be the Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, and the player himself, who will remain at the club for the next five seasons.”
Sergio Ramos arrived at Real Madrid in 2005 from Sevilla and has become a key player in Real Madrid in recent years and is now the club’s captain. the 29 year old would receive a substantial increase in his salary once he signs his new contract.
