Jose Mourinho would have been left stunned as his Chelsea side were totally dominated by Manchester City as the Citizens picked up a 3-0 win at the Etihad.
Manchester City were on the front foot from the 1st minute as David Silva opened Chelsea up with a pass to Aguero who was foiled by Begovic. Begovic made two further saves before Aguero finally found the net in the 31st minute, running inside the Chelsea defense before finishing smartly into the corner to make it 1-0. Manchester City were in  control for most of the first half. Chelsea emerged from the tunnel for the second half without John Terry and took control of the game. Manchester slowly grew into the game and in the 79th  minute, Kompany doubled Manchester City’s lead as he beat Ivanovic in the air to nod David Silva’s corner kick past Begovic into the net. Manchester took control of the game from that point and in the 85th minute, Fernandinho ended the contest as he fired the ball home after Silva stole the ball from Chelsea just outside the box.
Today’s result sees Manchester City rise to the top of the table with 6 points and six goals to go with 2 clean sheets. Chelsea on the other hand are 16th with only a point.
