Kevin De Bruyne is reportedly set for a return to the Barclays premier league as Wolfsburg have accepted a 50 million Euro bid from Manchester City for the Belgian’s signature.
De Bruyne came to the fore after leaving Chelsea as Wolfsburg too a chance on the player and he came good, breaking the record for most assists in a season in the Bundesliga. Chelsea and Manchester City started vying for De Bruyne’s signature but Chelsea turned to other targets while Manchester City continued to chase the Belgian assist king. Wolfsburg played real hardball with Manchester City and after Chelsea snatched Pedro right under Manchester United’s nose, the other Manchester club were weary and quickly submitted a 50 million Euro bid, which is what Wolfsburg wanted.
Wolfsburg have accepted the bid and now Manchester City have to scale the hurdle of a negotiation of Personal terms with De Bruyne. Manuel Pellegrini, beware, don’t let Mourinho make another phone call or you could miss out on Kevin.
