This is coming from summer signing Stevan Jovetic, the former Cityzen is certain Inter Milan can end their UCL exile this season with a top three finish.
The last time Inter featured in the champions league was in 2011-12, when Marseille knocked them out of the competition in the round of 16 stage.
Inter have tried to no avail to finish among the top three in the last four seasons, but always end up in the sixth, ninth, eight and fifth position.
Mancini is keen to revive Inter to champions league glory and has recruited former ward and City striker, Stevan Jovetic to help with his mission.
“I think we can achieve a third-placed finish,” said Jovetic, who joined from Manchester City last month.
“There are lots of good sides in the league but we have a strong team.
“There’s always pressure in football. I’ve felt it everywhere I’ve played, but I just focus on performing well. I’d say that it adds extra motivation.
“Despite my difficulties in England it was a very important experience and I’ve come back more mature. I had a couple of injuries at the start, and then when I did play well I’d always be subbed off.
“When I was left off the squad list for the Champions League I knew it was time to change clubs.”
