Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas hopes his Spain colleague David de Gea’s future is sorted out as quickly as possible.
Casillas left Madrid for Porto earlier this summer, with speculation suggesting he departed the Bernabeu to make way for De Gea.
However, the Manchester United goalkeeper is still at Old Trafford, although he has not featured under manager Louis van Gaal this season.
He is quoted in AS:
“De Gea? We hope that it turns out how he wants and that he’s happy. He’s a fantastic goalkeeper. His professional situation isn’t how he would like but let’s hope he can resolve it soon and that it all goes well for him.”
