ICYMI: Chelsea Get First Win, City Continue Perfect Start, United And Arsenal Settle For Draw

It was an eventful week in the English Premier League and Chelsea got their second red the third match in. Goals were scored and some matches ended with none. City still top the table and Chelsea are still fighting for control.

Leicester 1-1 Tottenham
United 0-0 Newcastle
Norwich 1-1 Stoke
Sunderland 1-1 Swansea
West Ham 3-4 Bournemouth
Everton 0-2 City
Watford 0-0 Southampton
West Brom 2-3 Chelsea
Arsenal 0-0 Liverpool

Manchester United 0-0 Newcastle United

Van Gaal’s men are yet to lose a match, but are yet to make an impact and impress. It was no surprise when Newcastle went to Old Trafford and forced a draw. The magpies withstood onslaught after onslaught of attack, but the finishing was not there for the Red Devils.

West Brom 2-3 Chelsea

The defending champions finally recorded their first season win, with three Spaniards getting on the score sheet. New boy Pedro opened the scoring and assisted the second, this was after Courtois saved a penalty. A Terry red cost them a man and allowed West Brom score one more goal. A win away was what the blues got.

Everton 0-2 Manchester City

They made it three out of three when they travelled to Goodison Park. With Mancini’s men hoping to put an end to their domination, instead Kolarov and Nasri ensured the perfect start for the Cityzens.

Arsenal 0-0 Liverpool

Arsene Wenger’s men welcomed their brothers in red to the Emirates, hoping to dominate them, but it was the other way round. Liverpool forced save after save from Cech, who put up his best performance and was the hero for Arsenal.
