Alexander Pato is clearly enjoying his time at Sao Paulo as he is set to turn down a move to Tottenham as he stated that he wants to stay at the Brazilian club.
Pato was one of the most promising players in the world when he moved to AC Milan in 2008 but injuries and inconsistency made it difficult for him to make his mark at the San Siro. Pato then moved to Corinthians in 2013 and a year later, moved on loan to Sao Paulo where he claims he is happy and wants to remain even at the cost of passing up a chance to return to Europe “I don’t know what’s going to happen,” he told the Daily Mirror . “I don’t know if it was my last game for Sao Paulo. I will talk with my agent. I want to stay but it does not depend on me. It would not be good to finish like this. I’ll sit down and talk to see what’s going to happen. Pato seems adamant on staying but other factors may influence what happens.
At just 25 Pato has been robbed of his best formative years but after being offered a chance at Sao Paulo to make an impact Pato is understandable weary of a shift that might have more bad repercussions than good.
