Usain Bolt has claimed the Gold medal at the 100m men’s event at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing.

Bolt beat America’s Justin Gatlin to win his second gold medal in a row at the Championships, and his 3rd overall.

Bolt recorded a time of 9.79s to win the the race, with Gatlin only a microsecond behind.

Gatlin’s American teammate Trayvon Bromell, rounded out the top 3.

Gatlin couldn’t reproduce his semi-final heroics, where he had completed the run in 9.77 seconds.
