AC Milan can’t seemingly do anything right at the moment as their serie A season started in disaster as Fiorentina picked up a 2-0 win over the Rossoneiri.

Firoentina and AC Milan played a balanced game for most of the first half with both teams creating chances and attacking and counter attacking but in the 36th minute, AC Milan player Ely was sent off for a second bookable offence before Marcos Alonso made it worse by dispatching the resulting free kick to make it 1-0. Fiorentina took control of the game from that point, stretching AC Milan and making their man advantage count. In the 68th minute, Fiorentina forward Illicic was brought down in the penalty area. Not to be denied a goal , Illicic stepped up and drilled the penalty home.

AC Milan would be hoping to turn a corner by their next match as they look to return to the top of European football
