Shekau Is Alive And In Charge of Boko Haram, Nigerian Journalist, Ahmad Salkida claims.
Nigerian journalist, Ahmad Salkida, known to have access to top commanders of the Boko Haram sect has dismissed comments by Chad President, Idriss Deby, who said Shekau had been replaced by one Mahamat Daoud.
He made this known via his twitter account, Saturday, August 15.
President Deby had during a press conference to mark Chad’s 55th independence anniversary claimed that the notorious Shekau who leads the Boko Haram sect and was listed by TIME magazine as one of the most influential people in the world has been replaced and the new leadership of the terrorist group wants to negotiate with Nigerian government.
“There is someone apparently called Mahamat Daoud who is said to have replaced Abubakar Shekau and wants to negotiate with the Nigerian government.” Deby had said.
Salkida, who is reportedly on exile in Dubai accused the Chadian leader of lying, adding that Deby had misled former president, Goodluck Jonathan into entering a botched peace deal with Boko Haram.
Idris Deby is wrong now as before when he deceived Fmr President Jonathan in phantom negotiation. Shekau is alive and leads ISWAP or BH.
