Madrid has confirmed that midfielder Casemiro has signed a six-year extension with the club.

Casemiro joined Madrid from Sao Paolo in 2013, spending last season on loan with Porto, where he became a key player for the side.

Benitez is said to be a fan of the Brazilian, who featured in Madrid’s 5-0 win over Real Betis and setting up Bale’s second goal.

The midfielder’s previous contract was set to expire in 2017, but this new contract is set to expire in 2021.
