Liverpool have signed 18-year-old striker Taiwo Awoniyi, but have immediately sent him out on a season-long loan to Frankfurt.
Taiwo Awoniyi has previously represented Imperial Soccer Academy here in Nigeria and has been playing for Swedish side Kalmar FF.
Awoniyi while speaking to Liverpool FC official website said
“This is the biggest club in the world and I’m privileged to be here.
“I’ll try to develop myself very well so that when I come back to Liverpool I’ll be able to add value to the team.
“When I’m in the red shirt, I will always give my very best to make the fans happy.”
Awoniyi was poised to sign a professional contract agreement with Kalmar FF when he turned 18 and
Kalmar FF director Andersson Borstam while speaking earlier this month said
“He has done fantastically well and there’s been around 10-15 clubs who are interested in him. It is likely that he ends up in a big club, even if we are not hundred percent sure how this ends.
“We’ll see what this can mean for us, we’re not quite sure on everything
