Benteke Scores On Debut As Liverpool Beat Swindon 2-1

Both Benteke and Roberto Firmino both enjoyed impressive debuts for Liverpool as the Anfield side struggled to a 2-1 win over Swindon.

Liverpool dominated the game but struggled to create scoring chances but Firmino showed class throughout his debut as Benteke who arrived for 32 million pounds from Aston Villa also showed what he is capable of shortly after half time, Benteke received a flicked ball from Teixeira and backing the goal, the Belgian chested the ball before turning and volleying the ball into the net. Swindon Town equalized in the 63rd minute as Obika curled the ball into the net from the edge of the area. With the match winding down to a close, Ojo, one of Liverpool’s upstarts fired in a beautifully angled shot to give Liverpool the win.

Liverpool would be looking to challenge for a place in the UEFA champions league at least this season.
