Bangkok bomb blast
A bomb blast at a popular tourist centre in Bangkok, Thailand — the Erawan shrine — has left at least 21 people dead.
The death toll is expected to rise, with the number of injured people currently standing at 123.
“The bomb aimed at killing as many people as possible as the shrine is crowded at around 6 to 7 p.m,” police spokesperson Prawut Thavornsiri told AFP.
The bomb was reportedly attached to a motorbike outside the temple.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks, with the Thai government seeing it as an attack on the Thai economy.
