Everton left full back, Leighton Baines is set for a 13 week spell on the sidelines with an ankle injuy which would require the England international to undergo a surgery
Baines missed the final two games of last season with an ankle problem and returned to training just before the start of the seaon but suffered a reoccurance of the injury and missed th start of the season. Further scans revealed that Baines was going to need surgery on his ankle and the club revealed yeserday that the full cak underwent a succesful surgery and was expected to be out for between 12-14 weeks. Everton manager, Roberto Martinez described the loss of the 30 year old as “a disaster” and would have to play on without the England international.
Baines is one of the key players in RObeto Martinez’s side and is one of the premier league’s top performers and would be sorely missed by Everton until he returns to full fitness.
