Louis van Gaal is demanding £35m from Real Madrid for goalkeeper David de Gea, but the Spaniards are preparing to test Manchester United’s resolve with a £25m bid.

United are preparing for De Gea’s departure by reigniting their interest in Ajax ‘keeper Jasper Cillessen. 

Bournemouth have been given permission to speak to Barnsley right-back Mason Holgate, who has been training with United in recent week.
