#360Odds: Aston Villa Vs Manchester United

share on:

Aston Villa are set to host Manchester United at Villa Park tomorrow in a match that has important significance for both sides who couldn’t be more different and couldn’t be more alike. While Manchester United finished fourth in the premier league and performed badly in the FA Cup, Aston Villa were FA Cup finalists but barely survived a tough relegation battle last season. Both sides have relatively new managers who are still settling in and have all but revamped the clubs and have brought in quite a few signings who are looking to gel and both sides come into this game on the back of 1-0 wins in their opening game. While Manchester United scraped past Tottetenham, Aston Villa picked up a comfortable 1-0 win over Bournmouth. This two clubs seem worlds apart but couldn’t be more similar

Team Strengths/Weaknesses:

Manchester United come into the game with some big names like Bastian Schwiesteiger and Wayne Rooney and a few big reputations like Memphis Depay and Juan Mata and have players capable of changing the game when called upon, the squad is full of Match winners but lack the defensive organization to cope with a really mobile attack. Manchester United would also be missing Marouane Fellaini who evolved to become the team’s main attacking outlet as the defense tooked to play the ball long to the Belgian all throughout the second half of last season. Manchester United are also missing the services of a poacher and a Genuine crosser of the ball.

Aston Villa on their part have become a very organized side but more often than not, concede the soft goal when unnecessary and cannot boast of any game changers in their ranks, Tim Sherwood has his entire squad available to him and the ability of the former Tottenham coach to come up with some trickery would go a long way helping his team in this match.
