Lobi Stars recorded a surprising 1-0 victory over Enugu Rangers, while Akwa United beat Nasarawa United 1-0.

Eche Idakwo scored the lone goal for the Lobi Stars who made good use of their numerical advantage over the Rangers.

Enugu Rangers finished the match with 9 men after players Rasaq Adegbite and Christian Madu were both sent off.

In the other semi-final, Akwa United progressed courtesy Aniekpeno Udoh’s 37th minute strike.

In a post-match interview, Akwa United’s coach, Zachary Baraje, admitted Nasarawa United dominated the game, but was happy with the fin and looked forward to the final.

“If I must be honest, I think they (Nasarawa United) dominated possession, but in the end we were patient and took our chances.”

“I am not worried about who we meet in the final because I know we are a good side and should do well in the final,” he told supersport.com.
