Yet Another Footballer Dies After Collapse

share on:

Junior Dian was a non-league footballer and was trying out for Tonbridge Angels in the Ryman league (7th tier of English football) when he collapsed and was pronounced dead hour later in the hospital.

Junior Dian was 24 years old and would probably not have won the award for the Ballon D’Or but his career was beginning to show promise as he was set to turn fully pro as he started for Tonbridge Angels in a pre-season friendly game before he collapsed in the second half. Dian was rushed to a hospital where he died shortly after.

Junior Dian’s death would just intensify the working committee set up by FIFA to look into the health of footballers more intensely.
